Ventura update on mid 2015 MacBook Pro?

Is a mid 2015 MacBook Pro able to update to the newest Ventura operating system? I have automatic updates marked on preferences but haven't gotten anything except it is up to date with Monterey. Yet in one place on this Apple site it says it can be done and in another it doesn't list MacBooks back that far. This is confusing to me. Thanks for any help. Susan
