X on battery and fans really loud

My Macbook pro 13 battery run out , i put to charge for around 25 minutes , i come back and it turns on , It loads and i see the battery has the 'X' logo instead of the % and the fans are really loud. I restarted my laptop and still have the problem. Its updated to the latest version . Does anyone have a solution besides getting repaired .
