Cannot block incoming calls made via WiFi Calling feature

I have blocked a few numbers because of some personal reasons. These are not telemarketing calls but are known to me.

I realized today that their call can still get through if they use the Wi-Fi calling on their device. This is an issue with iPhone - the iPhone only blocks calls if made via the carrier. It does not block an incoming call from a blocked number if that user is using the Wi-Fi Calling feature on their device.

I tried to test this the other way around - an Android user blocked me on their device. I used regular calling and then the 'Wi-Fi Calling' feature on my iPhone to call them but the calls didn't get through.

This is a real security and privacy issue.

Hey there ra0123,

To clarify, are these calls being sent to voicemail or do they actually ring your phone as normal calls would do?

If they still go through, make sure they are still blocked here:

In the Phone app , do any of the following.
• Tap Favorites, Recents, or Voicemail. Tap the More Info button next to the number or contact you want to block, scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.
• Tap Contacts, tap the contact you want to block, scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.

Should the issue persist, Contact Apple Support directly so they can investigate further.

Take care!
