Wireless charging keeps shutting off

When I put my iPhone 14 max on a wireless charging, it will not keep charging. It keeps shutting off and disconnecting. I have tried this with many different wireless chargers and it’s the same issue, I’ve tried removing the case and it’s still the same problem.

Does the same thing happen if your iPhone is connected to a wired charging cable to charge?


Is a Qi- certified charger being used? You can view a list of Qi-Certified Chargers here: Qi- certified chargers


Since noticing this, has your iPhone been restarted? Restarting our device can help when we are experiencing unexpected issues such as this one.



1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider and wait about 30 seconds.

3. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears to power it back on. Once back on, test to see if this continues.

You should also confirm that the latest iOS is currently installed on your iPhone: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
