Netflix / Disney+ in browser on Apple TV 3rd Gen

When I try to watch Netflix or Disney+ via my Apple TV, from my MBA M1, in Safari or Firefox, it will not show the image (only sound is playing). Even on the built-in display, there is no image until I disconnect my computer from my Apple TV.

I understand this used to work before, so what is going on? I assume this to be some HDCP issue, correct?

Is there any way to work around this?

For Netflix it´s not too bad, as it will play from the ATV, but Disney+ doesn´t.

The ATV runs the latest OS, as does the MBA (Ventura).

Disney+ supports AirPlay across the following devices:

Apple TV (3rd and 4th generation or later) with tvOS 12.0 and higher
TVs compatible with AirPlay 2

So is your Disney+ subscription Basic?

it's not just hdcp it's them actively blocking it

Netflix confirms it killed AirPlay support, won’t let you beam shows to Apple TVs anymore - The Verge

best you can do is to get a newer appletv and use the app on that to view them both

or get another device which has apps to display them

Thank you.

Disney+ works like a charm with AirPlay when it plays from the iPad app.

So I´m wondering why it doesn´t when using the web player. Quite obviously Disney didn´t kill the feature as Netflix did.
