My Find My Network feature isn't working on my brand new Iphone 14. How do I get it to show a good location when powered off?.

My Find My Network feature on my iphone isn't working. I have attempted to see if it will present an update location when the phone is turned off, but it only shows the last known location. I just had a phone stolen and want to use the Find My Network.

In addition to the comments above, the phone needs to have a good Internet connection for the location to be displayed on a map.

So, the phone might be "on", but if it does not have a good Internet connection, the current location of the phone will not be displayed.

Hey JDHIV,

This would be expected behavior from Find My. The iPhone won't be able to update its location if it is turned off. You would see the last known location of the device, and if it is turned on again and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network, then you will see its current location.

"About locating a device

  • You can use Find My on your iPhone to see the location of your device on a map and play a sound on it to help you find it. If the device is online, you see the location of the device. If the device is offline, you see the location of the device the last time it went online or connected to the Find My network."

Cheers!
