Iphone X not usable with IOS 16

I was happy Iphone X user until upgrade to IOS 16. Now device freezes very both while using and when idle. Very often, when i take the phone, it appers to be black - no reaction on power button - no way to reboot. After a few minutes there is apple logo and phone starts. There were already 2 or 3 updates on IOS16, but no change. Battery is healthy. Does anybody else experience such issues ?

82% is close to Apple's borderline health mark of 80% – so the original battery is weak, just as expected after years of use and charging cycles.

"This happens also while phone is being connected to the charger. There is also no relation between current battery level and crashes - doesnt matter if its fully charged or alsmost empty."

Exactly. A weak battery is still weak regardless of whether it's connected to the charger and regardless of its current battery level – and so the weak battery will cause crashes.

Also, the long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak, original battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back."

...So have the battery replaced and all will (probably) be well:

Press and hold both the side button and the volume down button until you see the Apple logo. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support.
