Search Marquis

When I open safari or chrome I am automatically redirected to some sketchy search engine called search marquis. Is this harmful to my computer? Should I be concerned?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

Search Marquis / Search Baron Problem - Help Please! Hello, I've been dealing with the Search Marquis / Search Baron malware and need some help. I found John Galt's threads to be really helpful and, following his instructions, was able to stop the issue on Safari but unfortunately not for Chrome. Please find screenshots, below per John's thread, in addition to the "~/Library/Application Support" folder: (Removing "Search Marquis" / "Search Baron… - Apple Community). Any help resolving this issue on Chrome would be appreciated. Thanks!

Search Marquis, How to get rid of it? Nothing works I checked Youtube Malwarebytes and can't find anything that fixes this current virus. It takes over your computer. You can't go to any links, it just opens a page with search marquis the internet is broken due to this. I had a real hard time getting to this site. It blocks you from navigating. Apple needs to address this asap

Yes. Click here and run the tool; you may need to restart in Safe Mode.
