Calendar Inbox showing notifications from co-worker calendar

My Calendar Inbox is filled with notifications of events from a co-worker's calendar. On occasion, I have turned that calendar on for display on my phone - but even when I am not showing it, I continue to get notifications. My Inbox lists all of the notifications (and I cannot clear them - I have to choose Accept/Decline/Maybe, but they ARENT MY EVENTS. I don't want to alter the RSVP). My phone shows notifications for these events.

I've gone into the "Calendars" multiple times and verified that all co-worker calendars are turned off. I've toggled them on, then back off again (to see if the equivalent of "reboot it" would change). But no luck.

I'm at a loss. I really don't want to see notifications about co-worker birthday dinners, and I'd like my InBox to get back to just showing me my calendars.

Any insights? Google hasn't helped yet.

  1. How do I clear out InBox events WITHOUT RSVPing to them?
  2. Why are these notifications showing up, and how do I make it stop?
