I have a 2017 iMac 27 inch and recently updated to Ventura, since then Mail does not attach by any means. Is there a bug? The file appears with "downloading..." message underneath. I have spoken to AppleCare although restarting my machine every time I need to send an attachment is too time consuming and effecting my workload...Can anyone help please?

Can you verify your software is up to date…
The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.1

just upgraded to 13.1 but the problem persists: I need to restart every time i need to send an attachment with Mail. Message says "uploading"… but nothing happens. Switched off Dropbox and ICloud. Nothing still

Yes my OS is up to date Ventura 13.0.1
Works ok for me on Ventura and I have quite a few gmail address that I am using Mail.

macOS Ventura 13.1 is the current macOS including bug fixes —I would start there
I've just updated to 13.1, still the same problem
