iPhone X features on older iphones

You have an iPhone 8 and you can install iOS 16.1.2 on it just like it is installed on the newer model iPhones. This, however, does not mean that the iPhone 8 will have all the features of the iPhone X and newer models. The newer iPhones have different and updated hardware/technology than the iPhone 8. For example, the iPhone 8 cannot have Face ID because it does not have the necessary hardware and the iPhone X/11/12/13/14 cannot have Touch ID because they do not have the necessary hardware.
