auto correct error

Greetings,

Recently, Apple Mail is auto suggesting my name in ALL CAPs every time I end an email message with my full name. This is extremely annoying as I have to x out or it applies the all caps name. I tried a workaround via system preferences, Keyboard and added my full name but Keyboard will not accept spaces.

I have not enabled the Signature rule in Mail so this function is not interfering.

How can I delete this autocorrect suggestion when I type my full name?

example... if I type John Smith, mail suggests JOHN SMITH, and I need to x out to keep the small cap type.

To change autocorrection suggestions on your Mac, follow these steps Check spelling and grammar on Mac:

As misspelled words are detected, do one of the following:

• Accept suggestions: If there’s only one suggestion, just keep typing to have the word autocorrected. If two or more suggestions are shown, choose one.

• Ignore suggestions: Press Esc, then continue typing.

• Undo autocorrections: An automatically corrected word is briefly underlined in blue. To revert to your original spelling, put the insertion point after the word to show your original spelling, then choose your spelling. You can also Control-click the word to show your spelling, then choose it.

To turn off autocorrection for a specific app, open the app, then choose Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Correct Spelling Automatically (it’s off when a checkmark isn’t shown).

If you want to continue to use autocorrection with the Mail app, ignore the suggestions for your name and it should eventually stop making those suggestions.
