A Damaged File Downloaded

I downloaded the new MacOS for my MacBook Pro on 12/2/22. Immediately upon finishing the download a message came up about damaged files that "can't be opened." It suggested that I moved them to the trash. I trashed my McAfee "Live Safe" app but there is a window that keeps opening: "Menulet" is damaged and can't be opened. This file was downloaded on an unknown date."

When I click the "Show in Finder" tab a window opens up and shows me it's in a window titled "Applications" but it won't let me move it to the Trash. It just keeps opening back up persistently no matter how many times I close it. How do I trash it or delete it?
