Sorry, but which is it MacBook Air or MacBook Pro? Regardless, which exact model is it? You can find out, by selecting the Apple icon on the upper left-hand side of the macOS menu bar, and then, select "About This Mac."

Apple does not consider a Mac laptop's battery requires replacement unless it cannot maintain up to 80% of its original capacity after 300-1,000 full recharging cycles, depending on the exact Mac model.

To check your current cycle count: Hold down the Alt key and click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner and then choose System Information. Next, click Power from under the Hardware category in the left panel and look for the number for Cycle Count under Health Information.
