Hey ak0827,
Also, iOS 16.1.2 was recently released. Since updates include fixes we recommend backing up your iPhone and then updating to the latest version.
The steps below are for backing up to iCloud. If you need steps for backing up using a computer, click here: Back up iPhone.
- "Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
- Turn on iCloud Backup.
- iCloud automatically backs up your iPhone daily when iPhone is connected to power, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi.
- Note: On models that support 5G, your carrier may give you the option to back up iPhone using your cellular network. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup, then turn on or off Backup Over Cellular.
- To perform a manual backup, tap Back Up Now."
Steps to update the software wireless are listed below:
- "Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
- Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
- If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
- Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

If updating doesn't help, and you haven't tested with a different Wi-Fi network, we suggest doing so. Even though other devices are connecting to your router, this step will confirm if the issue is network related or not.
If the iPhone doesn't connect to any Wi-Fi networks, we recommend contacting Apple for further assistance. You can reach them here: Get Support.
If the issue doesn't occur when connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, reach out to your Internet Service Provider and/or the manufacturer of the router for further assistance.
Hope this helps. Take care.
