Country screen freeze
my dad got a refurbished iPhone 12 and when we try to pick the country we are in after hitting English the phone freezes until you restart it i have tried to look up this problem and havent found anything that works.

Do you have access to another Wi-Fi network you can try? That may help in this situation.
Try a restart. Sometimes a simple restart can help.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If that doesn't help try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
