Genius suggestions not functioning

I was in the music app in the iTunes store and I remembered the genius suggestions future and found it on the sidebar. Yet when I clicked it all it said was that I do not have a genius suggestion and that I need to teach genius about my tastes. Now the thing it is that I don't use iTunes as my main software for buying music but have about 30ish songs bought through the store, not including the hundreds of personal songs I have imported and formatted into the music app. I even get genius playlists made from music that isn't purchased through iTunes. So I'm really stumped on why I am not getting any suggestions for music to buy in the genius tab in iTunes.

I'm on an older mac (2013) and it's still on Catalina so I understand that may be in a factor in this. Yet if that should not be the reason why it is doing this then what else could it be?
