Highlighting in Numbers

I want to simply highlight the highest/maximum value in my selected cells. In Excel, it's a snap. Numbers takes the rules and sticks its tongue out doing precisely nothing.

I followed the 2020 suggestion creating a calculation for the maximum, setting the value and the formatting. Nothing highlights,

It is not as comfortable as in Excel, but it can be done.

But Numbers is free, as long as you own an Apple device, for Excel you have to pay.

Here an example for min & max for column A

It is important that you preserve the row & column for $B$2 and $C$2

Hope this will solve your question, please let me know if this worked for you or if something in unclear.
