Trying to download my entire icloud library onto a hard drive and it's not working. Having to do it in batches, and the info re date and location is not coming with the photos and videos. And some pix are ending up tiny.
I can use a desktop, macbook, iphone. it doesn't matter.
How do I fix this? I have 25,000 to do, and tons are videos.

The easiest thing to do is to sync photos. You can keep the photo library on an external drive.

Enable iCloud Photos on your Mac to sync everything. Open Photos. Go to photos, settings, iCloud.

Thanks. That sounds pretty painless. I want to store them on a hard drive that would be accessible (usable) on a Windows computer. Is there a way to do this?
