Apple Mail Issue

Hello Team,


I see weird behavior on the Mail app. There are multiple accounts configured under the Mail application, no issue in sending or receiving emails but beside every account, there is an error reported. Upon tapping on that it gives the following message "Connections to the server “imap.gmail.com” on the default ports timed out." for Gmail and Connections to the server “imap.mail.yahoo.com” on the default ports timed out. for Yahoo.


Is any one else facing the similar issue, please assist.


Mac OS verison: Ventura 13.0.1.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. We understand that you're running into issues with several email accounts on your Mac. From what you've described it sounds like there's issues connecting to the email providers servers. There are a couple actions to try to help with this.


  1. Try logging into each of those accounts directly from a web browser and confirm you have access to them with your login credentials.
  2. Use the suggestions provided here: Troubleshoot email problems in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
  3. Try logging out of your email account and/or removing it and then adding it back to see if that helps. Log out of or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support


Keep us posted on how it goes and if any of the suggested actions are helpful.

We appreciate you trying those steps. Since this happens with multiple email providers and persists after removing and re-adding the accounts, let's next test if this occurs on another network connected. This will help us isolate if the network or the Mail app is responsible for this behavior.
