need to get photos off an iPad...

I have an iPad that was loaded with photos using iTunes on a windows pc, sadly that pc went kaput a while ago and I now have a MacBook Pro. issue: I cannot edit, delete or do anything with the photos that were loaded from the pc as, according to Apple support, the master is on the pc (kaput) and therefore no longer available. The MacBook doesn't see them, sadly.

I need a way of getting these photos from my iPad to my MacBook, it would be helpful to find a way of viewing the files on the iPad and copying the ones with the photos in but I cannot find a method using the MacBook.

I have access to another windows 10 laptop if needs be.

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Apple is correct.

The best you can probably do is to email or airdrop the photos on the iPad to your Mac. Keep in mind that you will not get full resolution photos, you will get photos that have been optimized for the iPad.

The same would go for any 3rd party app you might find that could 'transfer' the files...

Of course, the ideal solution would be to restore the photo library from the backup of your PC to another PC, assuming you had a backup.

Thank you for your reply, sadly, not being tech savvy, I thought loading them on to my iPad was a back up to protect these photos and so didn't feel the need for anything else. I now know better and, all be it a little late now, I have a raid device.

I shall have to suffer the lower resolution pictures and get them on to the MacBook so I can send to the raid server, after that I still have the issue that I cannot delete some of the ones I don't want on the iPad as they appear locked with no dustin, I feel a reset coming up.
