I have POP on my mac and IMAP on my other devices. Can I just switch from POP to IMAP on my mac and access the emails already on the IMAP account I have been using on my other devices and negate exporting POP emails then importing to IMAP?

Move the POP account emails to a folder on your computer.
When you create the IMAP account in your email client, all emails on the server will be synchronized onto your new IMAP client configuration.
Many tks for that that would be great a the reason I ask. My issue is how can i keep my many emails on the pop account?
Does the fact that I am using IMAP on my other devices help at all?
