I have the unpleasant journey of changing financial institutions and updating all my auto pay features on everything from family phones to mortgages has kept me busy. Last 2 transactions that are unaccounted for are my kids iCloud storage monthly payment plans that are deducted from my retiring credit card. I made it inside their phones account setting but it won't let me edit the card information??
Where and how do I accomplish this?

Seems, with an active subscription in the account. you will need to add the new payment method first.

NB: If you still can't edit the payment method on iPhone,
scroll to "Add a payment method online" in the above article
