Hi mizzaka,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you want to create and name a group Message. In order to name a group, it must contain only iMessage users.

To create the group:

1. Open Messages and tap the Compose button .
2. Enter the names or tap the Add button add contact to add people from your contacts.
3. Type your message, then tap the Send button send icon.

In a group iMessage, everyone can:

*Send and receive photos, videos, and audio messages
*See all responses from the group
*Send and receive message effects, like sketches, animations, bubble effects, and more
*Share their location with the group
*Give the group a name, add or remove people from the group, mute notifications, or leave the group

You can find these and more details in Send a group text message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Regards.

Thank you, ASTRO24!! I did check out "support" on Apple.com and read exactly what you told me. Silly me, I thought there was some secret to Messages and Groups. Turns out, the editing and naming capabilities of a group on iOS are unique and do not extend to Samsung or other smart phones. That is what was confusing me. Thanks again for answering. Next time I will check Apple support first!
