The lightning plug doesn’t seem to fit well in the remote. Anyone else having this issue?

What version of Apple TV 4K and remote do you have? If 1st & 2nd generation then the lightning cable is the correct one. If your Apple TV 4K is the latest version, 3rd generation, the remote needs a USB-C cable.

they seem to be phasing out lightning in general removed it from ipads a while ago and seems to be forced to remove it on phones because of EU laws
they had their first pin30 connector for a pretty long time before changing to lightning which they also had for a ok long time
you can give them a piece of your mind using their feedback channel
Well now I feel dumb. My previous remote used the lightning cable for charging. I assumed the new one would as well. Why can’t apple settle on one charger?
