After updating my MacBook Pro to Ventura, the Apple Music app no longer functions properly with my iPod shuffles. It lists the iPod in the Apple Music sidebar and in Finder, but it will not load or allow me to restore the iPod. Any solutions?

Hi PL813,

Let's resolve the issue by completing the steps listed here: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support that are also listed below.

1. "Look in the Finder or iTunes

On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, look for your device in the sidebar of any window in the Finder.*

Thank you kindly for your reply. I truly appreciate the time you spent responding to my post.

I have tried all of those suggestions, and last night I ended up restoring my MacBook Pro to its factory settings and reinstalling Monterey as the operating system.

I am now able to use my iPods again. It’s Ventura, for sure.

Apologies for piggy-backing here....similar but different issue.

iPod Shuffle, MacBook Pro, so no USB slots, just USB-C (3.1?) here....so:

1) iPod comes with USB, there if afaik no USB-C to 3.5mm male audio available that supports this - happy to be corrected

2) Using a hub, basically -any- hub or adapter does not help. Nothing shows up in finder, but all cables work perfectly for charging - on USB chargers, not on the MacBook Pro (with M1max, so a newer one)

3) All software is actual, but of course no itunes here either

Any ideas? Thank you, fellow customers..
