Projecting a slide show from computer to TV screen

Why does the picture immediately get very small on both the computer and the TV screen.

I’m using a HDMI cable to connect both.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

Two side-by-side images on projected screen I’ve hooked up my new Macbook to a projector via an HDMI cable - and I’m getting two side-by-side images of my computer screen on the projector screen. Not sure what’s going on - I’ve hooked it uo to my TV lots of times with no issue. Messing around in Displays doesn’t seem to help. Any thoughts?

Keynote presenter display doesn't show on Samsung TV I have an M1 Mac Air updated to current MacOS. At home I have it connected to an external monitor. When I play a Keynote presentation with this setup the presentation shows on the external monitor and the presenter display shows on the laptop monitor. I am going to use this presentation in a classroom with a Samsung TV. I connect to the TV's HDMI port via an HDMI cable that is connected to my laptop with an Apple USB C to HDMI adapter. When I connect the laptop it is mirrored on the TV. When I play the presentation the fullscreen presentation is mirrored on the laptop and TV, I don't see the presenter display on the laptop. I have enabled presenter display in Keynote settings, I have also tried both HDMI ports on the TV. It would be very helpful to have the presenter display visible on the laptop but I don't know why it works with one external monitor and not the other one and I don't know what else to do to get it visible.

Video wall adapter MacOS issue Hi, I have a daisy-chained video wall. The first of the nine screens is connected via hdmi to the computer, the next ones are connected to each other via a digital port. When I connect a PC windows, a presentation is displayed on all screens without the any problems. When I connect MacBook, the presentation is displayed only on this first screen. Sometimes when I change the resolution two more screens flashes but the rest don't display anything. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that wall doesn't work with MacOS? Do i need some special adapter?

With no further information, I would guess the following:

Your TV has much higher screen resolution (maybe HD or 4K?) than your MBP, so the pixels in the slide show take up a smaller portion of it.

You probably chose to use screen mirroring with the MBP adjusting its resolution to conform to that of the TV, so they both show the slideshow small.

Try one of the following:

Use the TV as a second monitor, move the slideshow to the second monitor, and expand it to full screen.

Continue to use mirroring, but have the TV adjust its resolution to simulate that of the MBP.

I think those options were both possible back in macOS 10.13.
