How to copy a link as text easily?

For example there is written “Guitar Store” but It is actually a link.

I hold click on it and choose “Copy Link” and paste it on somewhere.

But It is pasted as full website link not “Guitar Store”

How can I do this?

Hi Mainecoon364,

Select, cut, copy, and paste text on iPad covers the process for selecting and copying text on an iPad. Rather than clicking on the link itself, select the text immediately before and after the link in question and then adjust the sliders if necessary to select only the text before copying.

Regards.

Start by selecting other text that is away from the link ( like a word or a few letterw before the link, then a few letters or a word after the link.

Then use the highlight/selection handles at either end of the highlighted area and slowly slide them in until you reach the beginnng and end of the link, like this

Test word ( Start of LINK ) What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support ( End of LINK ) test word

The actual link isn't colored blue, in the middle of my sentence, like it should be when a link is posted here, not sure why this is happening, so I delineated it by putting in ( Start of Link ) ( End of Link ).
