camera not found in chrome macos ventura

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? after Ventura upgrade, camera is not found in chrome.

We have many users in our organization, and for several of them it stopped recognizing the camera after the update in chrome.

Any idea what we can do?

This implies the computer are enrolled in a Mobile Digital Management ( MDM ) service.

i am not an administrator in the mdm, however, i am in the IT team in my organization. some of the computers are affected and some are not, and it started with the ventura update.

from what i hear my org is not the only one affected, but many users who updated to ventura,

see this article - https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/187081887/chrome-browser-unable-to-detect-my-macbook-in-built-camera-after-macos-update-to-ventura-13-0?hl=en

Chrome has to ask the user for access to the camera. If they said No, then Chrome would no longer see the camera.

However, it should show up in Privacy section of Privacy & Security Settings > Camera. You could then enable it.

You could try resetting TCC for the camera:

tccutil reset camera

or

tccutil reset all

The TCC settings can be controlled via MDM.

This problem has been resolved. It is associated with the Mersive Solstice. These issues were experienced by WeWork users of the Solstice video conferencing system (including me).

Just look for the file named "RelayCAM.plugin" and delete it. The file can be found here:

/Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/RelayCam.plugin

Alternately, open the terminal and type:

sudo rm -rf /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/RelayCam.plugin

and then hit enter

Then restart the system. Voila! problem solved.
