Attachment data Lost from Notes

Hi!

I had a lot of scanned documents in my notes and suddenly almost gone!

The note is there! and the texts also, but the scanned docs, have been deleted or damaged.

Some notes have missing attachments.

For example, I can see the notes and attachments. In that attachment 2 of 4 scanned documents are missing.

On my phone, my MacBook and iCloud have the same.

Notes randomly disappeared my notes randomly disappeared tonight, but i don't think i've done anything to cause it. when i open my notes app, it goes straight to the folders screen, which is now empty. i used to have a couple folders, but now they're gone. i can hit edit in the top right, but nothing appears for me to select. i can type any note's name in the search bar but nothing appears. when i go into my settings, the right amount of data is there still for the notes app. i can also go to my mac and see the notes there, but i still want the original issue fixed and have them back on my phone without having to airdrop or copy and paste all 94 notes. also, the notes on my mac are not as updated as the ones on my phone were. one of them i just updated yesterday or so and on my mac it has a version of that note from the beginning of july. even if i create a new note, it disappears to the right of the screen and isn't visible from the folders screen. currently i can't update my phone (iPhone 12 Pro, ios version 16.1) because of how little storage i have, and i haven't deleted any notes very recently. i don't know what to do. i just got done chatting with someone on the apple support site but nothing they've suggested has helped yet. currently i'm updating my icloud to the 200gb icloud+ plan to save all of my photos before i did anything, but it's taking a while (94.07gb of photos on my phone). i can't really find anything online either. if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!! *this has been crossposted btw

Attachments in Locked notes lost! I save a lot of attachments into notes such as PDFs, screenshots etc and for sensitive information such as banking details etc, I lock them. To my horror, most of these are now not there anymore. I either have a small thumbnail but that's all and can't view that thumbnail anymore at full size or I have a blank space where I would of previously had the attachment. It seems to be an issue that is only happening to locked notes specifically. The affected notes are the same both on my Mac and iPhone and the same issue whether I'm on 3G/Wifi etc. I should also say that some of the attachments show up as 'LOADING' but nothing ever loads. Has anyone else come across this? I am using a macOS Monterey 12.6 and iOS 16.02.

Pictures and Videos in notes not loading I recently tried to move a note with multiple media files from icloud notes to "on my phone" notes due to people having access to my computer. Upon doing so the note entirely vanished off my phone. I found it when logging into icloud online however very few of the files loaded, after multiple different attempts to reset or undo my file moving all of the files are showing in icloud but do not open or load. And I cannot even find them on any device in the notes. How do I get the files restored preferrably onto my phone?

Since it sounds like you're missing notes and attachments from the Notes app, we recommend that you try the steps in the article here: If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

To perform the steps in the article, we suggested above, click and open the link, read the subheadings below, and try each step.

1) Check your account settings

2) Check your Recently Deleted folder

3) Use Search to find your notes

4) Manually search for your notes

The reason why we are recommending the steps above is because they will show you what to do if you're missing notes from the Notes app on your device.
