Messages app > Blocking & Filtering

My Mac and iPhone continue to receive Messages that are blocked. I know this because when I attempt to block one, it shows that it is already blocked. How do I fix this?

Also the Mac and iPhone continue to receive Messages from numbers that are not in my Contacts, even though I have had the option to filter them set from the start. How do I fix this?

The Phone is set to Silence incoming calls that are not in Contacts and that works great.

Mac Mini (m1,2020) MacOS 12.5 Monterey, Messages app 14.0

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16.1

Mac mini, macOS 12.2

Confirming that the blocks are in place is the right step to take. With that block not appearing to be working, we'd recommend that you contact Apple Support so they can investigate this with you.
