If a reaction of love is mistakenly placed on a text message if deleted will the recipient see that it was deleted… the iPad was not on WiFi so it did not send but once wifi back on Will the reaction automatically send it or can I remove it and no notification will be sent of the change to the recipient?

Greetings mamapajama1,

If you deleted the message, the recipient may see that a message was deleted. You can learn more here:

Delete and recover messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"When you delete a message, the message only disappears from your Messages thread, not from your contacts' threads. To remove a message that you accidentally sent from everyone's threads, use undo send."

Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Undo a sent message on your iPhone or iPad

  1. In Messages, tap a conversation.
  2. Touch and hold the message you want to unsend.
  3. Tap Undo Send undo icon.

The message disappears and a notification that says "You unsent a message" appears. You can undo a message for up to two minutes after you send it.

To undo messages, everyone must use iMessage with iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1, macOS Ventura, or later. If you unsend a message to someone on an older version of iOS, iPad OS, or macOS, your contact might still see the message."

Take care.
