restore macOS screen colors to default settings

Because of my macular degeneration, I reset my screen colors to dark to see if it would help me see the screen more clearly. Now I can't get it back to the default settings. Guidance appreciated.

What I'd like to have is for the text to be a darker color (instead of the 'grey") so that there is greater contrast against the white background. With macular degeneration, the retina loses its ability to "fine tune" and grey against white is difficult. Is there a setting to make text black instead of grey?

BTW, you may notice that my default browser is set to Google Chrome...that's because yesterday I need to to go to Goldman Sachs website to do some work and the forms that I needed to complete wouldn't work in Safari...so the company that supplies Apples credit card has a website that isn't compatible with Safari?
