Mac Mail app cuts of lines of text on bottom of printed and pdf pages

This is an issue that I have noticed for over a decade in every single version of MacOS X and above that I have used. This issue has never beed addressed, and should not require the changing of settings for each individual e-mail to rectify.

Printing an e-mail or "printing" to PDF commonly results in either a small portion of the last line of text being cut off and being completed at the very top of the next page, or it is split in half, rendering the line of text unreadable, with the top half of the text on one page, and the bottom half of the text on the other page.

Changing the scale of the page can sometimes help, but this is unreliable, often resulting in the same bifurcation. Changing the viewing size in Mail does not help either.

Changing the Default paper size in System Preferences makes no difference to this as it appears to be the way the Mail app is processing the text and fitting it to the page when the program itself prepares the e-mail to print or print to PDF.

The simple fact of this matter is that no text should ever be cut in half when printing. The program should be smart enough to fit the text onto the default paper size without cutting it in half or otherwise.

I am a huge advocate for using Mac products, but this is one spot where a deficit exists, has for years, and no solution has been presented.

I, for one, would ask that Apple get its Mail software people to address this long-standing issue before people start moving over to other mail apps.

This does not happen with the free, open source Thunderbird (which is otherwise an inferior product to Apple Mail), but I can print without it being fouled.

Please, for pity's sake, do something about this.

I am beyond annoyed that this issue persists, and has in every single Mac I have owned and loved since installing MacOS X on my Titanium PowerBook G4.
