2015 MacBook Air loading very slow

MacOS Monterey 12.6.1 latest available for my 2015 mac.

Safari takes a long time to load for the last 12 months or so.

Also when visiting a well know newspaper site and a local neighborhood website after 5 minutes it shows "this website is using too much energy"

I would like simple directions on how to remove most of the Caches, Daemon notes or whatever. I suspect I must have a virus or whatever is closing it up

I Have 176 GB of memory on my 250 GB system.

Have the free version of Malwarebytes scanning every time I open it with no problems shown.

You could have software installed that works poorly with or even conflicts with the operating system. For help with this, please download Etrecheck and run it, then post the results here in a reply using the Additional text button below. This will help with a diagnosis.

For the possibility of your internal drive starting to fail, download DriveDX and run the long (extended test). Report back with the results.
