Face ID not working

IPAs Pro 2022 always says camera is covered, in and out of case. Are there 2 cameras? The arrow points to the top camera and then the left side camera.

Do you have a screen protector fitted to your iPad? Some screen protectors that also cover the front-facing camera array are known to cause issues.

If you do have a screen protector of this type, remove the screen protector.

Otherwise, the camera array may have a fault. If unresolved, you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:

Thanks for the advice. Strangely enough, I took the case off and it still didn’t work. Then I actually removed the tempered glass cover and that was the problem.

my last IPad Pro probably would have been cracked years ago if it wasn’t for my glass covering it.

Guess I’ll have to be more careful and thanks for the help!!

Compatible screen protectors are available - these having a cut-out that does not cover the camera array, microphone (yes, the is a tiny microphone opening in the front cover-glass of the screen) and other sensors.
