Unable to load video error after iphone migration

Some time ago I migrated from Iphone SE to Iphone 13 mini. After migration I am unable to play almost every video that was downloaded from external sources (about 2% of downloaded videos and all videos recorded by Iphone are ok). Whenever I try to play them I get this prompt:

I tried every solution found on the internet to fix this issue including:

  • soft and hard reset
  • optimize storage (with still over 80GB+ free space left)
  • installed latest software update
  • reset iphone to factory settings and restore from backup (after that all newer downloaded videos went "corrupt")
  • adding and removing from favourites
  • changing camera and photo settings

Nothing works.... This error is not clear to me since I'm not using any iCloud sync.

Please help

Greetings thatuseristaken,

You mentioned that these videos are downloaded from external sources. Have you already tried redownloading the video from that source? Which app are you attempting to view these videos in?

You also noted that you don’t sync data with iCloud. Have you confirmed that in Settings > your name > Photos this is disabled? We ask this because you mentioned about optimizing storage and when using iCloud Photos there is an option to optimize and store full resolution photos in iCloud. Manage your photo and video storage

With Optimize Storage, smaller, space-saving photos and videos are kept on your device while all of your original, full-resolution versions are stored in iCloud. And as long as you have enough space in iCloud, you can store as many photos and videos as you want.

Thanks.

Hi AnnieL2,

Finding videos I downloaded from plenty different apps years ago is near to impossible, but every new video downloaded from any source is playable if that's what you are asking. I'm using default Photos app...

I'm sure that I have iCloud turned off for pictures, I just tried every possible fix found on the internet (unfortunately every one of them is assuming iCloud sync what I didn't notice earlier)

I have found out that every video that is "corrupted" displays 0B of data in file manager after plugging iPhone to PC. Perhaps it's worth to mention that I still have access to my older iPhone with most of the files.
