Why voice to text so terrible on my Xr?

I don't understand how apple, with tisreputation for technological excellance, can tolerate such a primitive voice-to-text app. Also, puzzled that so few others report a similar problem. Does this mean the problem is with particular phones, not with the system?

If you try to do an Internet search, it is scrubbed! These companies pay to have this kind of stuff removed!

The newest annoying thing about the dictation is this… You will talk into it and it will come out like you want it… Yet it’s still changing it… and right when you hit send… Boom!

Can you please explain what exactly you mean by the word "terrible"? I am unable to guess it.

Dictation on this Xr is very sloppy. Often it does not respond at all for several words. Sometimes it improvises, saying the opposite of what I am trying to say. Sometimes it substitutes dirty words for what I have said. Not always so bad.

Also, to try to solve the dictation problem, I updated the phone to the latest update, and now it won't bluetooth to my earphones any more. Dictation still doesn't work.

I have the very same problem… It will change he to she or you to him or vice versa…

completely changing the context what I’m saying!!!

And when your voice to texting, you’re probably doing something like driving or what have you… and then it just becomes a complete dangerous game of trying to figure out how to make it say the right meaning…

I now do the right thing and pull over and type my messages!

Anyway, Apple’s phone dictation sucks! It’s became annoying!
