Mac OS Ventura, System Data Calculating taking a lot of time

How long ago was this computer upGraded to Ventura ?

Depending on the answer to above and predicated on the Image supplied as accurate there is certainly a lot of Re-Indexing required before an accurate System Data can be produced.

This category primarily includes files and data used by the system, such as log files, caches, VM files, and other runtime system resources. Also included are temporary files, fonts, app support files, and plug-ins. You can't manage the contents of this category. The contents are managed by macOS, and the category varies in size depending on the current state of your Mac.

I have this problem as well, but more importantly, I want to erase an iOS backup that I did. But the category in Storage called 'iOS Files' has been calculating for over 15 hours!

What can I do to get it to stop calculating and let me manage it. I was able to see the amount once and it's around 45 GB (It's a backup of an iPad Pro).

After I wrote the above, I upgraded to OS Ventura 13.0.1. Now "iOS Files" appears in the colored bar at the top of the Storage window, but not in the list below. How do I delete these iOS Files?

Just wondering: has this issue been solved? Am facing same problem on brand new MacBook Pro using Ventura 13.1. System will keep calculating for ever. Also impossible to search for files in Outlook's mails despite applying indexation's fix. Answer : no results . Last resort is to delete and reinstall Microsoft 365.
