how can I set my iPhone pro13 to automatically connect to a wifi network when available so not to use cellular data?

You have to connect to the wi-fi network the first time for you to be able to connect automatically the next, especially if this wi-fi network has a password. You will have to enter that. Just make sure that you have wi-fi turned on, then look at the list of available wi-fi networks nearby. Ones with a lock icon require a password. Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
