Save Current Settings as Default when Printing

I can't edit my printer's default settings.

Set default print settings for a printer Since updating to Ventura, I cannot get my printer to default to a specific set of presets. When I go to print, the preset is always set to "None", which is a problem because I need a specific preset to use my printer code. Now, I have to manually set the preset to the one I want every time I print, which is an extra step I did not need to take before upgrading. 1) I would like to be able to print to a default preset without manually choosing the preset every time, as I did before the update. OS 13.0 how to set default settings for a specific printer How do you set default settings by printer so when you go to print on that printer it always has the correct settings specific to that one printer (its a label printer). worked beautifully in previous os but in ventura its not intuitive on how to set default and stick. I don't want to have to pick a preset every time, I print 100s of labels a month. When you don't check rest to default it still resets.

can you set presets in the printer box - I don't like the fact that color is default and you have to go through and choose every item. Unless you edit the ppd, you're not supposed to be able to "edit" the default settings. You can set up the settings as you want them and then save that as a Print Job preset, then use that preset.
