You do not "load" mail into a smart mailbox.

It is defined by whatever criteria you choose, and all the mail that matches these criteria will appear there automatically.

For example, this smart mailbox will include all the e-mail received in the present day. As we move from Oct 27 to Oct 28 and beyond, its contents will change to match the defining criterion.
