Find the Gift Card's Balance:
See if there is still balance on them. If so, then all should be fine there: Check your Gift Card Balance - Apple Support
Location Resolutions:
Gift Cards are only usable in the location/regian in which they were purchased. So, if in a different country/region, then you are out of luck, and they are no good.
