Safari Won't Open & High Virtual Memory Usage

Starting on the night of Monday, October 17th Safari on my MacBook Pro wouldn't open. I was on the latest MacOS then, and I have updated since then to the newest MacOS; It still won't open. I attempted opening it in safe mode, redownloading it via time machine, and deleting it/its metadata. All of these failed to fix the issue. When using Activity Monitor I noticed all applications labeled with the Safari named had absurdly high virtual memory usage, even when Safari was suppose to be not running. I have run out of ideas, so I thought I would post here. Thank you for your help!
