I have recently got an iPhone X and updated to IOS16.1 yesterday. I have restarted my phone a few times and looked for any app updates but my WhatsApp and Maps will not go into PIP mode. My PIP is on in my settings and I have turned it off and on a couple times. Any suggestions or info will be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you have a question about the PiP feature in iOS 16.1. At this time, the feature only works while playing videos, so you can't access it directly from Apple Maps or WhatsApp.
If you turn off the automatic PiP setting (Settings > General > Picture in Picture), if PiP is available, you'll see the PiP icon when you tap the playback controls when the video is playing.
