How do I set the skin tone of emojis on my iPhone 13?

How do I set the skin tone of emojis on my iphone 13? I don't want to have to select it everytime I use an emoji.

Emojis skin color I just updated my iphone to ios 16.4 and i noticed that these emojis 🫷🫸 dont have an option to change skin color after i long press on them. How do i fix it?

Can Apple allow emojis to default to preferred skin tones? Can Apple please, please allow users the ability to have emojis default to a person’s preferred skin tone? It’s a bit of work to have to set each one and doesn’t work with predictive texts.

The skin tone selection for emoji's that support it should be saved. It will use the selected skin tone unit you change it. You should not need to select it every time. At least that's the way it works for me.

You will have to do it every time you select an emoji.
