How can I mute all Siri voice responses on iOS 16 as it was before on iOS 15?
When I am on public it's really annoying, I don't want her to speak at all, just listen and text))

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have taken the correct steps in disabling Siri spoken responses so far as described in Change Siri settings on iPhone - Apple Support. As mentioned in that article and in your Siri settings, switching to 'Prefer Spoken Responses' will allow spoken responses even in Silent Mode. So, since you don't want spoken responses, try toggling your iPhone to silent mode as shown in Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support, then test again.
If that helps, it sounds like Siri is working as expected. You can send feedback from Product Feedback - Apple if you would prefer a change to this feature.

I cannot get Siri to shut up in iOS 16.1. It is a social faux pas and an embarrassment to always have my phone talking to me.
please restore the previous functionality to disable all Siri local responses.
Hi, thank you for your reply. I would like to turn off any voice responses of Siri in any mode, not just in a silent mode. This option was available in previous iOS, but it is no longer possible.
Really annoying, pointless change that makes me want to use Siri less. Change it back.
Totally agree. Have looked all over to get Siri to just shut up and not repeat the number I know i just dialed. No option any more?
So annoying why disable this function in the first place? There are countless times you need Siri to shut up and don’t wanna turn your phone to silent. Fix it please!
