iMac shutting down on startup Im not sure why this is happening or how to fix it? One day it just slowed down a lot. A few days later, I tried going into safe mode to see causes, then it just shut down in the middle of restarting. It just shuts down every time you try to boot it up. When the bar hits the middle of the apple logo, thats when it shuts down.

Try resetting the SMC.

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

If that doesn’t help, make a service appointment.

What year is your Mac? Depending on its age, it may not be eligible for service.
