Audio Peak/Overload
Is anyone experiencing random peak/overload of the stereo output?
In my case, it showed a peak of 522dB and 713dB.
It also produces a burst of sound that's very unpleasant.
Any ideas as to what this might be?

Recording in 44.1kHz. I use all of them... Let's say in this last incident I only used the Prophet and the DX7.
I've used the same setup on my Macbook Pro for years, and this never occurred.
Also, I've just switched to the Mac mini, and it happened twice now. I'm using a Universal Audio UAD Apollo quad thunderbolt audio interface. Just mentioning it, in case it's helpful.
The burst of white noise has been around since Logic 4.0 when the application was developed and owned by eMagic. Apple purchased Logic in 2002, around the 5.5 version. No one has ever figured out precisely what causes it. Logic's audio engine seems to lose sync with core audio, could be plugins not 100% compatible, could be the audio interface/Logic sync, could be the logic software version or MacOS version. Plugins seem the most likely but as you've found out, it can vary from machine to machine. Be careful the blast can damage hearing and speakers.
This was exactly the additional information I was after. Thank you!
My bet would be on the plugins not being 100% compatible. If it's not 100% Logic, there's room for these types of situations.
And will do it! Keeping the volume down is my #1 rule. Don't want to get my ears to fatigue quickly.
Thanks again !!
Have you inserted a plugin during playback?
Any 3rd party plugins in your project?
That's correct. I had plugins of the Arturia bundle in my project.
which ones and what sample rate are you recording in?
Now that I think of it, yes I did... (So thank you, if that's the reason, and I should avoid doing that!
But mind you, I also did it on my Macbook Pro... And this literally never happened...
