Tracking in health on iPhone

I’d like to add my milage to my steps on my I phone is there noway to manually input my distance?

Does Health app use GPS to measure distance? My friend and I both have iPhones, today we went for a walk together. It was the first time I’d picked my phone up today, she'd walked to her car then into my house, so less than 100 steps recorded. At the end of our walk, my health app said we'd done exactly 3km, hers said just over 4km. I know it uses your height to calculate your step length, and my friend is nearly 20cm taller than me, so I'm assuming it’s using step length & number of steps to calculate distance. Obviously this isn’t accurate though, so shouldn’t it be using gps to measure the distance? I used the ruler in Google maps to track the distance and came up with approx 3.9km, so my phone is underestimating my distance walked by nearly 25%, which makes it pretty useless. Is there a easy way to measure distance using gps on an iPhone?

Subtract erroneously entered health data in iOS Health App I mistakenly entered some distance on the wrong day and am unable to correct that mistake. I looked up community Q&As and the closest I came was Subtract miles on health app - Apple Community However, the instructions mention "Show All Data" which I do not have as well as "Edit". Using iPhone 11 iOS 15.6 Please help. Cheers!

The pedometer on my iPhone 14 with IOS 18.2.1 does not update steps in a timely manner I was walking today and the steps in Health were 6311. I walked about 20 minutes more and the steps were still 6311. I exited the app, came back in, same result. closed the app, same result. I walked about 20 minutes more and then the steps were 105xx. I was probably in an area with intermittent or no cell phone service ; walked another 20 minutes in an area with cell phone coverage, steps were still 105xx. Stopped for about a minute, looked multiple times at the app, no update of steps. Walked to the car and steps were 13k. It is rather annoying to have these large gaps between updates. Is there any way to force Health to update the steps more frequently?

No. You cannot manually input mileage into the Health app.
